Review: Their Stepsister, Owning Her Innocence and Innocent Getaway by Alexa Riley via Goodreads

Their StepsisterTheir Stepsister by Alexa Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 -No Shame- Stars

Another Alexa Riley book! Time and time again I'll keep making Alexa Riley Marathon. It's sure thing.

This is one quick, hot, taboo read.
The title of the book says it all. Logan and Luke "TWINS" (yeah, it was all it took for me to read it) and their stepsister Sarah.

Logan is sweet, tender and easygoing.
Luke is dominant, rough, intense...Guess who I'd take any moment? Yep, Luke.

Well...If you dont have any taboo and any shame; here is the hot, quick, sexy book.

No storyline...No drama...No character developments...No twists..
It's all about the sex ladies! So dont expect more of it. It promises you hot moments, steamy scenes, dirty talks and taboo DP.

I'm all in ;)

Owning Her Innocence (Innocence, #1)Owning Her Innocence by Alexa Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 -Will you make me sparkle, Daddy- Stars

Another hot, quick, taboo read from Alexa Riley. Owning Her Innocence is the first book of Innocence Series.

In this book what I like the most is there was no obsession about getting the girl pregnant. Thank goodness!

Haley is 18 years old girl who has crush on her father's friend. Though "daddy" fantasy isnt high on my fantasy list this book was hot without doubt.

There is no need to think deeper in a book like that. I mean if you want to read some smut, what something just about sex and if you like "daddy" fantasy or atleast if you dont have any taboo about it...Well, you can grab this book.

Enjoy, ladies ;)

Innocent Getaway (Innocence, #2)Innocent Getaway by Alexa Riley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3- Stars

Another book from Alexa Riley and her smutty book...

In these book we should agree that we will only get sex. Alexa Riley gives us pretty hot scenes. She knows how to write smut. And this is the reason why I'm making "Alexa Riley Marathons" time to time.

First book was hot and I enjoyed it. But this one...I dont know what I'm feeling about that. I think it was about Haley. She was like a baby!
I know this is DD/lg thing but I wanted her to be a little more grown up. Her whining was a turn-off for me. I mean yeah she is not that old but she is 18...I dont know.

Other than Haley's attitude...I liked reading this book.
Because of the smutness I wanted more>>>> #noshame #noregret

PS: Being good is overrated
Be naughty
Read smutty, xx

Review: The Truth About Him by Molly O'Keefe via Goodreads

The Truth About Him (Everything I Left Unsaid, #2)The Truth About Him by Molly O'Keefe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 -bedrock- Stars

The Truth Abouh Him is taking the story from where Everything I Left Unsaid left.

Annie and Dylan have lots of secrets and lots of obstacles in front of them. In this book Annie and Dylan faught against the world together but at the same time they were at war with themselves.

“I wanted to fuck her and protect her all at the same time. I wanted to keep her and push her away. I was everything in opposites, and I felt torn apart by her.”

The Truth About Him was a quick read. This book keeps your attention from the first page of the book. The first book had great sexual tension and was a great start for their stories. But this second book was more different than the first one. There was more action, more danger and so much more emotion in this book.

“Family, Love. Forgiveness. Those were powerful things.”

To be honest, when I started to read this duo I didnt expect to love it that much. But this book surprised me in a good way.

description

I loved Annie's and Dylan's characters.
Annie was a woman who tries to find herself, her soul. She was trying to understand her needs, her wants, her opportunities and her body. She started to set herself free for her feelings. She was used to control her feelings but now after Dylan she found herself.

Dylan had lots of family drama. He buried every feelings, every emotions, every regrets and every anger inside him. But with Annie he started to feel again. He found the things he buried inside him. The emotions was pouring out of him and he tried to deal with this storm.

description

There was lots of danger...Because of their pasts, because of families.

In The Truth About Him, Annie and Dylan tried to figure out themselves but at the same time tried to stay away from danger. Tried to protect who they loved.

This book was a good conclusion for their story. I loved how story flowed easily. The dangerous scenes, the easy scenes, the emotional scenes and the sex scenes...Everything was well-written in the book. Nothing was much and nothing was less. Everything was the way it should.

description

I highly recommend this duo everyone. From the one who loves emotional read to one who loves smutty reads. This book will satisfy everyone.

Review: Black Lies by Alessandra Torre via Goodreads

Black LiesBlack Lies by Alessandra Torre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5+ Intelligent Stars!

Black Lies is the second book I've read by Alessandra Torre.
With this book, I felt AT can be an obsession for readers.

Why? Let me explain...

I've read this book after I've read Sex Love Repeat...Both book says "I love two men, I fuck two men"
And for those booklovers who has never read AT's books before may think they both have same story...
Let me laugh at you. Not to be rude...I'm laughing at your possible face after you read these two books.

“Go ahead. Judge me. You have no idea what my love entails. I love two men. I fuck two men. If you think you've heard this story before, you haven't”

Lana is the rich-spoiled girl who grown up in a rich family. But her parents want her to be in one way...their way. Lana doesnt want it, she doesnt want to settle the life she despised for years and she does it. She gets free from her parents and their expectations. She lives her life the way she wants it. The only thing she keeps doing is a charity work.

In one of those charity nights, she meets Brant. Handsome, rich, genious, attentive and hot. Everything is great in their lives, in their relationships...
But in three years, Brant proposed 4 times to Lana and she did never say yes...Why?

And Lee...He is rough, full of passion. He isnt a genious, he isnt rich...He is everything Brant isnt. And this was the attraction. Lana is with Lee for two years. She cannot give up on him, she cannot let him go. She wants him and she does everything in her power to keep him hers.

description

This book isnt one of those classical love triangle book. This book has more. Nothing is wrong or right in this book.

There is one twist in the book. To be honest I didnt realize that twist till later on the book. I didnt expect something like that. But you know what they say:
"Expect the unexpected"

And I have to admit one thing: This book gave me broken-heart. Really. In AT's books my heart gets always broken. But I think it's worth it.

“This love is worth the unsaid truths. The hidden lies.”

I loved the characters in the book...The storyline...The twist...Sex. Everything was great for me. If you didnt read this book yet, you should read it. This book is in my "Best Reads of 2015" list. So I strongly recommend you to read ;)

Best Reads of 2015

This year I was lucky. I loved every book I've read. But since I loved each one of them so much it was so hard to make a list. I wanted to list them all!

This year, I tried to read new books but I mostly read a-few-years-old books.

Before you take a look at my list; please know that there is not much difference for me between the first and the tenth. I might list all of them as the first and the second only if I could but I thought it would be hard for you to see them clearly ;)

Easy Virtue (Virtue, #1)Easy Virtue by Mia Asher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5+ Love hurts Stars

Thank you to Ana Medeiros (the author of The Raven Room) for recommending this book to me!

"...Blaire. Who are you? What are you?"
"Complicated."

Blaire White...She is... complicated

description

Blaire is a young woman who doesnt rely on anyone, doesnt trust anyone and doesnt love anyone. She loves one thing: Money. She loves the thing monet can give her. She knows love doesnt last long and one day or other love breaks hearts.

"Many say that love will set you free, but I disagree. Love is a cage, a very painful one; its gilded bars made with yearning, heartache, and unfulfilled dreams. And the moment I realized that love wasn’t necessary to one’s survival I became free.

Why at a young age, Blaire is like this?
Because Blaire was bullied at school, she was always alone. She wasnt a daughter who felt parent love and attention. So she tried to find attention somewhere else...With different way. She realized that if she spread her legs a little, she could have the attention...the money...and everything the money can buy.

"I realized God is deaf. Now ever time I kneel, it isn't to pray.”

But she didnt think she would meet someone like Ronan. Someone so sweet, caring, loving, tender, hot, easy-going and who gives everything he had to make her happy. She didnt think she would be so happy with simple things. But this was trouble. She was in trouble.

"If you’re in trouble, I’m fucked. I was a goner the moment you smiled at me. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted someone as much as I want you.”

And Lawrence...Lawrence was opposite of Ronan. He was everything what Ronan wasnt and nothing what Ronan was. Lawrence was intense, domineering, hard, guarded, more logical than emotional.

“I get the sense that his word is always the last spoken and his wishes the first ones to be fulfilled. He doesn’t ask, he demands. He doesn’t hope, he expects.”

I loved every second of this book. Blaire is a heroin hard to love but I loved her. I could feel her internal battles.

Lawrence vs Ronan?? They were both perfect and I cannot wait to read more of them.
PS: Team Lawrence or Ronan? Why not BOTH?! I choose both!!!

My only complaint about this book is waiting for second book. I really need a release date. I want to read the next book and I'm so curious what will happen to these three people.

4- Hopeful Stars

description

Willow Chance is a genious. She is just 12 years old little girl but her intelligence is more than her age. Willow is different than everyone who is in her age. Her habits, her needs, her likes are so different. But her life is about to change..In a sad way.

The story of Willow Chance was heart-warming, hopeful, intelligent and easy read. It was a part from life. It was about connection between people and situations.

Counting by 7's is about changes in people's lives.

description

It was about a 12 years old girl and this book was different what I usually read. But I enjoyed reading it.

If you want to read a hopeful story you can grab this book. No matter your age this book makes you enjoy like you are watching a movie.

Review: First Dept by Pepper Winters via Goodreads

First Debt (Indebted, #2)First Debt by Pepper Winters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5+ - Have to "fix" it - Stars

It was so hard for me to get away from the third book of this serial and started to write this review. Normally, I cannot wait to write reviews about the books I've just finished. But these books were like a drug for me. I cannot stop reading.
I have four ARCs to read on line, two projects I have to do about university but here I am. Cannot get enough of Jethro and this story. (Get your claws inside, you possessive ladies! I'm just expressing my feelings. LOL)

Well, since there is a lot of great reviews about this book online, I'll just make it quick.

description

First Debt takes the story from where the first book left. That's the thing about this book. It's like watching TV series jut better than that.

In this book, there is some answers for us, but there is lots of questions unanswered for us poor readers.

“We’re fucked, Nila Weaver. Well and truly fucked.”

The second book of this serial is so much hotter than the first. Jethro and Nila are fighting for everything. For their will, for their needs and for their power.

description

I love so much how everything is a war between these two.
I love how they are ruining each other and molding the pieces back better.
I love how the become weaker but stronger at the same time.

“Kiss me"
“You’re a fucking nightmare.”
“Kiss me.”
“You’re ruining my life.”
“Kiss me, Jethro. Kiss me.”

Long story short...These books are just what I needed at this moment. Pepper Winters surely created dark, poetic and magical word. Twisted, wicked and strong characters.

Well, now if you'll excuse me...I'll keep reading the third book ;)

PS: I found the images online. Not my work.

Review: Debt Inheritance by Pepper Winters via Goodreads

Debt Inheritance (Indebted, #1)Debt Inheritance by Pepper Winters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5+ -I own you- Stars

I HAVE JUST FINISHED THE BOOK!

description

I dont think this review will be long cause I cannot wait to read the second book.

This book is in my favorite POV: first person-Dual POV. So it was the first win of this book.

Nila Weaver is fashion designer. She is so good at her job. She is a workaholic, a perfectionist. Nila Weaver is the only woman in her family. She lives with her father and her twin brother. Both possesive and protective men. She never dates, she just runs and works.

She lives hidden all her life. She wants someone in her life, wants to feel alive, wants to feel small caresses of a man. She wanted to be permitted to go dates. Real ones not her sexting-friend.

And Jethro Hawk is the only man her father approves her to go out with. Her father wasnt totally okay with this. He had to. Because of the debt. And Nila was the only one who can pay the debt. Jethro Hawk was the one who will take the payment...who will change her life, ruin her life...

description

I loved this book. I loved the chemistry between Nila and Jethro. I loved how much of an asshole Jethro is. I loved the chilly-icy persona of Jethro. I loved Nila's internal battle. I loved her need for experience the passion, for finding an anchor.

I loved every second of this book. This is one of those books which is captivating you, make you keep reading and guessing what will happen next. Loved it!

Review: Slut by Jettie Woodruff via Goodreads

Slut (The Twin Duo, #2)Slut by Jettie Woodruff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

--- After "Nightmare" Reviews #1 ---

4,5 -Two kinds of crazy storms- Stars

Well, I dont know if I still remember how to review a book. It feels like forever.

description

Slut is the second book of Gabriella and Paxton. In the last part of Suit Gabriella was arrested.

Slut takes it the story from that point and now Gabriella is all alone with lots of secrets. She doesnt have any answers but she has tons of questions.

I am at peace. I am at peace.

I love Twin Duo a lot. To be honest, I dont know why. The reason may be my twin obsession (lol) or it maybe Paxton's asshole persona or the love of their imperfect family.

In Suit I had a theory and I wished it was like that just to complicate things more. But in this book I still enjoyed the way of the story turned out.

I didnt like Lane from the first moment I met him in Suit. In this book I didnt like him to act like a saint and act like he was better than Paxton.

Paxton...I know a lot of people dont like Paxton and I have no idea why I loved him so much from the first second. I mean, he is a jerk, an asshole, manipulative but...I dont know. There is something about him that make me love him. He still needs a good kick in the ass, though. But I cannot be immune his sexy bastard persona and his soft sides I saw in this book pretty clear.

Gabriella...I didnt like her old self but I can understand why she became like this. I wish she could stood up for herself but I didnt like the fact that she was taking help from Lane.

She fell in love with her husband. She is easily manipulated by him. She loves him even while she was hating him. Just like a stupid little fish.

description

While I was reading Slut I always asked myself the same question: If I were Gabby would I watch/listen the records? I mean she knew there was something big, something that may change everything so after she found some kind of happiness with her new life was it necessary to listen them? My answer was changing with every record. First I was saying "Yes, I would totally try to learn all the secrets" and the next I was refusing the idea.

There is always three sides; mine, yours and the truth.

I really felt bad for Gabby that she couldnt remember her past but as Paxton said the situation was also bad for him. He know some things he did and he didnt want Gabby to learn them but also he was learning some secrets about Gabby and couldnt have any answers for his questions. It was just fucked-up.

description

No matter how much they become dysfunctional, I loved the relationship between Pax and Gabby. Especially the change in Paxton in this second book. They were hot as always and I could read more of their hot scenes(lol) In nutshell, I loved Pierce family.

Beside from Pierce's, Mi was my favorite person in this book. She was just crazy and so cute. I was so glad she is added to this series. Her effect was like a "magic" to the story.

description

The only problem about Slut for me, I felt like it was rushed at the end. I mean, I was more than willing to read more of the story. I have still some questions but they didnt bother me. I liked to answer some little questions by myself even if they are not true. But I am so glad there will be more Gabby and Paxton (hopefully more Paxton) in December. I cannot wait to read more of them.

Interview with Ana Medeiros: the great author of The Raven Room

Thanks to Ana for this great picture!!
Isn't she lovely? ;) xx

#Hi Ana! This is my first interview and I’m so glad it is with you. Hope you’re ready to answer a lot of questions. I’m so excited for your answers. Let’s start with easy question. I know your readers want to know more about you. What can you tell us about yourself? Who is Ana Medeiros?

I can sway from being extremely reserved to overly outspoken, depends how much coffee I’ve had that day. I’m also very open-minded…but if you have read The Raven Room that shouldn’t come as a surprise.

#When did you decide to write? Was it always in your mind or was it just a spot decision?

I grew up surrounded by people who truly valued books so I always loved to read. When I was in my late teens I wrote a book that will never see the light of day (I will take it to my grave with me!). I always wanted to give it another go but life kept getting in the way. Two and a half years ago I started dating a TV/Film writer and I found myself spending a lot of time at coffee shops staring at him while he wrote and so I thought – now is the time!

#You said you started dating with a film writer so you thought it was time. I think we should really thank him about his part in your writing journey. I'm curious if you are still dating him? Or he is just an old news ;)

The TV/Film writer and I are still together and I dedicated the book to him :) Without him there wouldn't be a Raven Room!

#Your first book is The Raven Room. As a new author, how do you feel about this? How was the journey of publishing your book?

It’s so exciting! The journey of publishing The Raven Room was pretty straightforward. I wrote the book and as I was trying to find an agent I was also sending the manuscript to publishers. Diversion Books showed interest and said yes. I had given myself a deadline – if I couldn’t find an agent and or a publisher by a certain date I was going to self-publish it. I’m very glad I went with Diversion Books because a good editor is indispensable.

#What did inspire you to write The Raven Room? What was that final push to make you start this book?

I needed a new challenge. Also, the last five years of my life gave me plenty of material to draw from. It would be shame not to put it to good use.

#Well, now…Let’s talk about Doctor Julian Reeve…What can you tell us about him? Was it easy to write his character? Did someone you knew inspire you about his persona or did you have anyone to picture as him in your mind?

Julian’s character is mostly the combination of a few men that have, in different ways, changed my life. He’s not based on one particular person. From all The Raven Room’s characters he’s the one that feels the most comfortable to me. Maybe because he’s pragmatic and not overly emotional and I can personally relate to that.

#What about other characters in the book? Alana, Meredith, Peter, Grace and Pam…What can you tell about them shortly? As an author and the creator of these characters what do you feel about them?

The Raven Room is Julian’s story. All of these characters are connected to him and their actions directly or indirectly affect him and his life. None of them are easy characters to love and that’s ok because they are not meant to be likeable or unlikable. They are meant to be interesting.

Due to a particular decision she made involving Julian, Meredith is probably the character that awakens the strongest feelings in readers. And yet, in my eyes, she’s the strongest character because she has so much potential for self-growth. She’s a twenty-three years old young woman. She will make mistakes, she will learn and she will grow.

#What was the hardest part to write in the book? And what is your favorite part of the book?

Probably the mystery elements. There’s a reason why I don’t like puzzles! My favorite part of the book is the scenes between Julian and Alana. Like any two normal people who are discovering each other they can’t get their hands off each other (they were my excuse to write all those sex scenes!).

#Okay…Now more personal question for you. In the book there was a part of Meredith and Julian about BDSM. What is BDSM for you? Are you familiar with the lifestyle?

I’m knowledgeable about the lifestyle but I’m not active in the BDSM community. Unfortunately there are so many misconceptions out there of what BDSM is about. That’s why I want to highlight the fact that The Raven Room isn’t a book about BDSM.You see Julian and Meredith’s character have that discussion because I wanted to make it clear that Julian isn’t a member of the BDSM community and his sexual behavior shouldn’t be categorized as such.

#One level more personal…Have you ever been in a club like The Raven Room or would you want to go to one?

I’ve been to sex clubs but never one as opulent as the one I describe in the book. If a club like The Raven Room exists I want to know what I need to do to get a membership!

#Back to the book…I know the second book is written. So in the second book, what awaits us? And can you tell us the name of the second book or do you prefer it to be a surprise?

You will meet a couple of exciting new characters! You’ll also see how Julian and Meredith’s relationship unfolds after the events that took place at the end of book one. You will learn more about Steven Thompson’s character and the club…while a lot of the question get answered new ones come up. The only reason I can’t share the title of book two is because it might change between now and the time it gets published.

#You left us with a lot of questions at the end of the Raven Room. What do you feel about it? Did you like torturing us like that? LOL.

I swear it wasn’t on purpose. The Raven Room is a continuous story told throughout three books. I had to end book one somewhere and knowing what comes next…that was the sweet spot.

#And now I want to ask one question mostly for my benefit. But I know there are some people out there that want to start writing. As an author, what advice do you have for amateur writers and to the one who wants to start writing?

Come up with story you want to tell, something that excites you, then create a writing schedule that works for you and set a deadline. Stick to it. It’s all about enjoying the process and putting words on the page. And do it over and over again.

#As final, is there anything you want to add and tell your readers?Well, I think I asked everything. LOL.

Thank you so much for the amazing support! Can’t wait to share the rest of Julian’s story with you.

#Congratulations Ana! You finished all the questions :)
Thank you for your time. I’m appreciated that you accept to do the interview. I’m so glad you wrote The Raven Room and this book brought us together.

Review: Sex Love Repeat by Alessandra Torre via Goodreads

Sex Love RepeatSex Love Repeat by Alessandra Torre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 -Read.Love.Repeat- Stars!

Here the confession...I didnt read any Alessandra Torre book before. I used to think myself as a bookworm but I'm not sure after I join in GR. This site shows me how less I've read.
I want to say sorry to all the great authors I havent read yet. Forgive me, I'll make it up to you. Promise!

description

There is a lot of great reviews about this book so I wont make this one long. It will be about just what I'm thinking.

I love this book so much. It was fun, sweet, hot and surprising. I loved all the characters so much.

Maddison is in the relationship with two men. She loves them both, she cares them both. Some might think she is a bit*h but ofcourse not. I really love her so much. She is so sweet, caring, sexy, fun...easily lovable.

Paul...He is so easy and carefree. His relationship with Maddison is like air. You know, the kind of love that gives you goosebumps and tingling sensation.

Stewart...He is difficult, intense. He is opposite of Paul. His love...intense. Maddison and Steawrt's relationship reminds me fire. When they are near each other it is like fire. Their love burns you, takes everything gives everything kind of love.

Maddison has two different lives with two different men. She is determined to seperate two lives which makes a lot sense.

Sex.Love.Repeat is beautiful book till the epilogue. But after the epilgue this book becomes great. I wasn't expecting that information in the epilogue. I was so okay with the story till that time. But after I'd read epilogue I was like "Well, wow. I wasn't expecting this"

This book is 5 stars but not 5+ stars for me. Why?

Because I cannot erase the sad feeling about Stewart. I know it might be weird but I really didnt want them to be apart. Because they have that chemistry that burning sensation and I feel like that perfection is wasted. I think I loved Stewart so much my heart is aching for him. It's pretty low possibility but if you didnt read this book, read it. I'm sure you'll enjoy. Because this book is hard to not love.

Review: The Sect by Courtney Lane via Goodreads

The SectThe Sect by Courtney Lane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3,5 Stars

The Sect is the first book I have read by Courtney Lane. This book is hard to review for me. Because I have some things I like and some things I totally disliked...Now, I'll just try to describe my thoughts and feelings about it.

description

Keaton Mara aka princess aka Mute looks like she has everything. Her parents love her, she has great life...Atleast it was how it looks from afar.

But, she isn't happy. She has a lot of burden. She is in danger...

In this situation Keaton decides one thing: She ran away...

Where? Anywhere and everywhere...She left everything behind and became a homeless. Started to live in the streets. But it wasnt the real change in her life.

description

The change in her life came in a moment. With one pair of hazel-blue eyes...

Keaton was choosen...To be given her freedom. But what is the freedom?

Now...What I am thinking about this book??

In the beginning the author Courtney Lane wrote that she didnt let her mother to read this book because it was dark. And that cause me to have some expectations...

My dislikes?

# The book was censored. I mean, when I'm reading a dark book I want to feel the emotions of the character during those scenes. Cause that makes me closer to the character. Let me understand their feelings and developments. I dont mean that I love to read disturbing scenes. But there is a reality that while reading those scene you feel the transformation inside their minds and bodies.

# I couldn't feel the connection between characters, atleast not as much as I wanted. Thats why I felt like Keaton was always being punished, debased and she was being delusional about Noah's feelings. I thought she was being pathetic. Because I needed to feel the development of the feelings and fights about it. When I didnt feel it I just thought it was forced.

My likes?

# I loved the storyline. It was strong and this book had a lot of potential.

# I liked the twisted persona of Noah. His motivations...Also his idea of justice was twisted but understandable.

#I liked the ending of the book.
