Sweet Jayne by K. Webster
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4- 4,5 -Code for life- Stars
Sweet Jayne is the first book I've read by K. Webster and I enjoyed it. But the problem is I have no idea how to review this book without giving away any spoilers. So it will be about my feelings mostly.
Nadia Jayne became the step-daughter of a mogul of the city when her mom married again and moved from Argentina to States. And after an incident, she put herself a goal. She was determined and did everything she thought as right.
Before I started to read this book, I had some theories how it will turn out just from the synopsis. I was ready for a cliche/trope to happen. But I was so glad that didn't happen.
Sweet Jayne is a dark romance and taboo book about revenge, loyalty, love, betrayal and determination.
And...my favorite characters in the book are Donovan and Ametyst.
There was some problems for me in the book but they can be looked through. Also, it was a quick read for me. The book wasn't slow.
This book is a good combination of taboo and dark. You should surely read it if you like these genres ;)

Snow's Review: Welcome to Diablo Vista by Crow Gray via Goodreads
Welcome to Diablo Vista by Crow Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.45 "what a turmoil of action" stars
DAMN, that was one steamy action packed sexy ride!
Crow Gray's HIGHLY expected tale offered exactly what the blurb said:
a badass motherfucker of a hero - Axl Dane, the most dangerous private investigator in Diablo Vista, who gets in betweeen the stirred dark waters in the scam went dangerously wrong.
When a well known drug lord steals from Mexican Drug Cartels and the Japanese Yakuza, but setting up a local gang of crazed bikers as a scapegoat, shit becomes real and Axl needs to deal with more than he signed up for by accepting to help out a previously mentioned drug lord's wife Trista Morales into protecting her secret that could indanger her life as it is.
and...well, you know, there's an erotic sidedish too, as we follow a secondary plot in which all the characters are joined together in the same "fucked up" situation while they are trying to escape the Cartel, the Yakuza and the biker gang. There's no chance that the mix of heat, excitment, danger, thrill and sexual attraction would not burst in the given time and space...when every moment counts and time is of no spare... making the sex scenes explicit, vivid, hot and wild...
I am already familiar with the kind of writing Mr. Gray provides and I always know what I am getting myself into...the only thing I disliked was Trista, one of the characters, i really had no empathy for her problems or her to start with. I also thought that the "romance" factor in the book should have been presented in more detailed way or more expressively then through mere sentence: "I love you."
OR on the other hand, that whole "loving" spectre would have worked out even better for me, if the characters had left it unspoken and in that way gave us a hint of what more could be expected in the sequel...
and as the perfect introduction to "more romance development" Axl's thoughts serve as crystal clear echo:
In anticipation to find out how that plays out for Axl, I am excited to read the VOLUME TWO.
Over all this is a fast paced action driven story with more substence than Mr. Gray usually push us into.
Mr. Gray, please hurry and write fast the next sequel :)

Abby's Review: Entropy by Joshua Edward Smith via Goodreads
Entropy by Joshua Edward Smith
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4-4,5 Entropic Stars
I have no idea how to review this book actually. There were lots of topic in the book, it's hard to focus on just one, beside from the main relationship between Sir and Lisa.
Lisa is a middle aged woman who has an unfunctional marriage with a cheating husband. They don't have anything in common but their two children maybe. In this marriage, Lisa finds the peace of her mind in social media, with the same minded people she's met there. And one day, she meets Sir.
Sir is at the same position as Lisa. He is a prisoner in an unhappy marriage, hiding his true self and searching for happiness.
Entropy has so many triggers for easily offended readers. There is cheating, cancer, death, a strange kind of polygamy (almost)...This book is really about entropy. When the things go well, something happens and turn the things into chaos.
Entropy was like a prologue to the real story. The epilogue of the book made me curious for the next one, Duality.
It took me so long to read this book because of "real life" obligations but, the good thing is no matter how many days you stay away from the book, when you turn back, you'll continue to read it without any problem.
Mr Smith's writing style is so different, almost unique in a way. He is balancing the non-fiction with a fiction as telling the story. It may be a little slow for some readers but it's the essense of the book.
You should really give this book a chance. It is more different than what's on the market recently and I enjoyed with this difference.
The copy is provided generously by the author, Joshua Smith.

A marriage takes work. You have to constantly put energy into it to keep it from falling apart. Going nowhere takes energy. Stability isn't what you get when you do nothing. It's what you can hope to achieve when you work hard.

Welcome to Diablo Vista by Crow Gray
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
4,5 -Welcome to Diablo Vista- Stars
Axl Dane was a private investigator, one of the best and the most intimidating one in the city. And when Trista Morales, the trophy wife of a local drug lord and former prostitude, came into his office, he knew he shouldn't have accepted the job. Drug dealer and Yakuza were never the good news yet, he accepted because it seemed like a small and easy job for him. But it wasn't...
Welcome to Diablo Vista Volume 1 was packed with action and sex. It was a fast-paced and steamy read. I've read most of the books by Crow Gray and I'm familiar with his writing style. This book was as hot as the other works of Mr. Gray but also so different with the fast-paced-action story line.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and want to read more of Axl Dane. He knows how to use his gun ;)

Snow's Review: Cash Remington and the Rum Run by Celia Aaron via Goodreads
Cash Remington and the Rum Run by Celia Aaron
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5 adventurous stars
Meet
When Cash and his crew of rowdy pirates discover a shipwreck, they take everything they need to go by, every item of worthy to sell, eat or use. What they find is a treasure – a chest of gold and a certain gem. And a girl.
Not knowingly of it's origin a gem leads Cash and his crew into more danger they could've had foreseen, therefore they are encountered with the Kraken, a whirlpool, and a six-headed beast…
And because…
He never turns his back on a challenge…
That leaves him with a treasure #2 – the girl.
She's addictive, she's young and fresh. She's a flower…to be deflowered…
But the girl turns out to be more trouble than Cash ever imagined…but despite the lurking danger he plans to have his way with her…cause he is
This was such a thrilling, fun and exciting novella, a fast paced reading material filled with action, adventure, sex all intertwined in a poised way with elements of the Greek mithology phenomenally mixed with humor in dialogues…
My fave being the curses Cash spits out…
Extremely entertaining read that I have enjoyed in every word and every second of it.
Celia, bravo, once again!
I had an abso-fuckin-lutely blast on this journey with Cash Remington - the pirate!
Can't wait to see where he'll take me next...

Blog Tour: Panty Whisperer The Complete Series by Sloane Howell hosted by Ardent PRose
I love women. I’m not ashamed to admit that making a beautiful woman come is my main goal in life—one that I accomplish night after night. Women are as drawn to me as I am to them. I don’t get turned down. It’s not a brag, just a fact. At least it was a fact. Until I met Quinn—the one woman who didn’t fall for my easy charm. Now, I have to have her. She may not want to get close, may not want to admit that I turn her on and can give her a night that she’ll never forget, but she was mine the first moment I saw her. Eventually, I’ll have her beneath me, my hands in her hair, and my name on her lips. It’s what I do. I’m the Panty Whisperer.
TOMMY IS SHAKING his head too much for comfort as I walk up to him at the bar top.
"What?" I ask.
"Nothing, man. Didn't say a damn thing, bro."
"Megan tell Quinn?"
He stares at me like I'm an idiot. "Herbert, I just wanna shake the ever-loving shit out of you sometimes. Quinn knew the second she walked by you and you poked your little head, yes I mean both of them, up like a turtle coming out of his shell. Megan tell Quinn? Fucking Michelangelo over here. You didn't learn shit from Splinter, did you? Fucking honorary Foot Clan member."
"It wasn't like that."
His eyes are about to pop out of his head. "Just save it, bitch. You're making my life oh so complicated. You're lucky you're a hot piece of man meat."
"But—"
"Don't!" He bugs his eyes at me again.
"I—"
"I said don't." He talks so damn fast I can't get out a word and his puffed out cheeks are trying not to laugh. His eyes open wider.
"Look—"
"You are terrible at this game, Sir. I said don't!" He's on the verge of an aneurysm.
"Fine. You are such a persistent prick. You know that? What the fuck is new?"
He looks away. So smart to have such an obvious tell. He's withholding information.
"What is it?"
"Nothing." He won't look at me, and now I have to know.
His voice gets all high pitched. He's nervous. "You see the new Force Awakens trailer? If Abrams doesn't bury that goddamned Binks clown I will murder him, Herbert. I will fuck his Facebook page with the fury of 1,000 angry porn dicks, by god!"
"Tell me what you're going to tell me." I inch closer to him.
He shakes his head. "Didn't work. Did it? Changing the subject. You can't be persuaded to the dark side?"
"Tell me. I know you want to. Join me, Thomas."
He looks away.
"Thomas, look at me." I'm the one bugging my eyes now.
He turns back to me and cackles. "Your Jedi mind tricks won't work on me, Sir. I am enslaved by the pussy of one Megan, much like Leia tied to the likes of a forty-ton gila monster. I am a Jedi, like my father before me."
I crouch down in his face. "So be it, Jedi. And now young Skywalker, you will die."
"Fine, man goddamn!"
I grin huge.
He glares back at me. "Quinn's leaving town. She's going to speak at some bullshit conference for their company. And it could be permanent if she does well." He gasps like he's been holding his breath for hours.
My heart drops into my stomach. Pain rips through my bones at his words, but I compose myself. "Good for her. I'm sure it'll be good for her career." I look around and want to rip the walls off this building and burn it to the ground.
"I'm sorry, man."
"For what?"
He looks up at the bartender and orders two scotches, then tosses me a look like I'm clueless and want to copy his calculus homework. "I'm sorry."
I give in and stare down at the ground. "It's okay, buddy. It's not like it's a hundred percent sure thing she’s leaving forever, right?"
"Yeah, well. I don't know. I wish you two would stop being idiots. Everyone can see it but the two of you." He stares out the window.
I want to change the subject, but my thoughts are flying back and forth like a Blue Angels air show. "It's too late, man. Yeah, I love her. But I fucked it up. Can we all please move on?"
His face tightens and his jaw clenches, grinding his teeth together.
Guilt pummels my abs with a right cross.
"You didn't fuck it up, man. You could still have her. You're just too much of a pussy to do anything about it." He slams his fist on the counter, rattling all the glasses down the bar, then turns and walks toward the door.
"Dude, what the fuck? What do you care anyway? Sorry I'm not making things convenient for you and Megan." I squeeze my glass of scotch so hard I'm worried it might break.
He pauses for a second, then turns back around and walks over to me. His hands are clenched into fists. I don't know that either one of us has ever been in a fight, so I don't know what the fuck to do.

Snow's Review: Gun Moll by Bethany-Kris via Goodreads
Gun Moll by Bethany-Kris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
4.5 "their love will be stronger than the mafia rules" stars
Bethany- Kris never disappoints and now she has teamed up with Erin Ashley Tanner and they doubled the thrill.
They both gave us a strong, bold, brave heroine - Melina Morgan , she's a survivor. That’s just what she does. She’s independed, she knows what to do to keep her safe and get things done. And she's not afraid or reluctant to do it. And she doesn't trust anyone.
So when things come to push and shove and she finds herself in a situation where she can't get herself out of on her own, she needs to put faith in the man, the type of man she would never rely on.
James “Mac” Maccari
A soldato that wants to be noticed enough to get Made in the Pivetti Crime Family, burdened with his own past (failer of a drunken father) he wants to make it beyond the name he's carrying. But it seems his Capo has hidden intrests and is keeping all Mac's work hidden from the „BIG BOSS“. But the chain of events will push both Mac and Melina in Pivetti's boss sight and it will force them to fake a relationship, to keep them both safe, Melina from the mafia and the police who suddenly have their own agenda and are stirring muddy waters.
Mac provides the necessary shelter to Melina by pretending to be in a realtionship.
Their animosity soon turns into the developed mutual interest and while they fight their attraction
Melina soon gives up her icy and bitchy posture and lets Mac in…and he takes over, he takes control to claim but also to make her safe, by making her his, he just takes layer after layer of her selfcontrol and high erected walls.
the danger lingering above them turns serious and very real…and there's no time to dwell upon further action, action that will make them both united and noticable. Stronger. Bolder. Together.
And Melina just might prove to be that one turning point.
His GUN MOLL.
Excellent writing, interesting plot and a fantastical build up between the characters guarantee a pleasant and enjoyable reading material.
and I still call
on "Mac".

Trust on one and they'll never have the chance to disappoint you
So when things come to push and shove and she finds herself in a situation where she can't get herself out of on her own, she needs to put faith in the man, the type of man she would never rely on.
James “Mac” Maccari
He was arrogant and too cocksure.
He had a smart mouth.
But he was also sexy as hell.
Hazel eyes and brooding face.
Mac provides the necessary shelter to Melina by pretending to be in a realtionship.
There was something between her and Mac and it was dangerous.
Their animosity soon turns into the developed mutual interest and while they fight their attraction
Mac had unleashed something inside of her that she thought she'd never feel.
Want.
Lust.
Need.
Melina soon gives up her icy and bitchy posture and lets Mac in…and he takes over, he takes control to claim but also to make her safe, by making her his, he just takes layer after layer of her selfcontrol and high erected walls.
You see, you might like to be the queen bitch in the room, but I get the feeling that somewhere inside you, there's a woman who would die to have an assertive man take control.
the danger lingering above them turns serious and very real…and there's no time to dwell upon further action, action that will make them both united and noticable. Stronger. Bolder. Together.
And Melina just might prove to be that one turning point.
His GUN MOLL.
Melina was born to be a mobster's girl, even if she didn't know it. The woman could handle a gun, kept a calm head in bad situations, and wasn't afraid to get a little dirty.
That had „gun moll“ written all over it.
Excellent writing, interesting plot and a fantastical build up between the characters guarantee a pleasant and enjoyable reading material.

Snow's Review: The Bird and the Sword by Amy Harmon via Goodreads
The Bird and the Sword by Amy Harmon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
6 "silent words" stars
These segments of the blurb, will tease you…
The day my mother was killed, she told my father I wouldn’t speak again, and she told him if I died, he would die too…
She predicted the king would trade his soul and lose his son to the sky…
My father has a claim to the throne, and he is waiting in the shadows…
I just want to be free.
But freedom will require escape, and I’m a prisoner of my mother’s curse and my father’s greed….
I can’t speak or make a sound…
In a land purged of enchantment, love might be the only magic left, and who could ever love . . . a bird?
It will make you say…wait, what? Is this a fable?
And I would promptly say YES!
It's the most beautiful story of MAGIC, POWER and LOVE, overcoming the differencies, the odds, the misfortune, the pain, the diversities that change to course of essence of life and love as you know it.
Once upon a time, a magical world existed where the GIFTED lived among the common people in togetherness and unity.
Until greed, hunger for power, deceit and treachery overruled the GIFTED as the EVIL ones and ruled them out, estinguishing them and punishing them for being sorcerers.
Lady Lark of Corvyn was born into a noble family but she was also a gifted one. Being her mother's daughter, who was a powerful TELLER, she witnessed her mother's death by the hand of a King. But before she died, she placed the curse on them all. Changing the destiny, binding the souls together by a silent power of an unsaid word.
Cause
Silence was a close cousin to invisibility.
Lark grew into a shadow.
Neglected and left aside, people dismissed her as mute and therefore not worthy. All she wanted was to be free.
BUT she was so much more inside her silence.
Her inner power of silent words was immense as it will be soon proven as useful when she becomes the interest of a young King Tiras and a means to an end. Not knowing the real destined bond/a curse binding Lark with her father, King Tiras takes her as her prisoner forcing her father to act as in providing the King much needed army to end the war with Volgars, devious creatures – half men/half birds, who were dangerously close to destroy the precious Jeru Kingdom.
King Tiras soon finds out that Lark is more than she appears to be…she could help him subsiding his own troubled physical pain as he holds a terrible secret that could destroy and shattered him if it should ever become known. / Mikiya. Eagle.
…but Lark's power were silent words…
Tiras and Lark become close, he opens her to another world, the world that was „closed off“ for so long and she craved for it. She wanted to learn, she swallowed her words but she needed to hear them, she wanted to grasp the meaning of the sound and to give it essence.
What they shared was not planned, was not expected either.
But the longer they spend time together, they grow into each other, trusting, providing safety and belonging…it was beyond physical, it was beyond words…and yet their connection was magic itself.

Swallow, Daughter, pull them in, those words that sit upon your lips. Lock them deep inside your soul, hide them ‘til they’ve time to grow. Close your mouth upon the power, curse not, cure not, ‘til the hour. You won’t speak and you won’t tell, you won’t call on heav’n or hell. You will learn and you will thrive.

„You are easy to overlook. Slim and pale and so quiet. But now that I've studied your soft grey eyes and traced the fine bones of your face, now that I've kissed your pale pink mouth, I don't want to look anywhere else. My gaze is continually drawn back to you.“
But the longer they spend time together, they grow into each other, trusting, providing safety and belonging…it was beyond physical, it was beyond words…and yet their connection was magic itself.
„I'm going to kiss you again“
„Unless you tell me no.“
My mind was a huge, white wall. No protestations. No thoughts. No words at all.
The way Tiras was looking at me made me believe I was vibrant and brave. He made me feel powerful.
The fear of letting go, to break free fully is terrifying and Lark is holding back until the inevitable sets in place…
I have all the power, but you will destroy me.
„Only your walls, Lark.“
„I need you to let me in.“
If I let you in, I will have nothing left. If I am like ice it is because ice is impenetrable. Strong.
„Touch me, Lark.“
When I touch you, I cease to be.
Why do you want so badly to break me?
„Because there is fire beneath the ice, Lark. And I like your fire.“
„Then I think I will keep you.“
Phenomenal writing, fantastic dtory with even more thrilling and captivating characters! Lyrical, methaphorical lines that speak louder than any volume, words that have a meaning only when you give them one.
You don't need wings to fly…
What do you need…
Words.
One of the best books I have read this year!
Absolutely stunning and beautiful story...
This one will stay with me for a long time....
